Media Socialist is a blog about, and a testing ground for, social media online.

That means we're gluttons for blogs, social networks, social bookmarks, wikis, user-generated video, photo-sharing, and everything Web 2.0.

Facebook Social Media Importer

I’m not proud to say that Facebook, which I usually keep up with, announced this a while back, and I only today noticed it. In your profile’s mini-feed, you can click the “Import” link and connect your Facebook profile with your profiles from:

I just added my del.icio.us account (which posted links on my mini-feed immediately), my YouTube account (which posted nothing, probably because there’s nothing new), and this blog’s feed. I can’t tell if it’s reading the blog feed correctly or if it’s simply slow to update. (Upon posting this entry, I don’t see any update in my mini-feed.)

For more info about this stuff, check on the entry in the Facebook Blog.

Update (6/25/08):
About the blog issue:

“We are aware of the problem that you described and hope to resolve it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for contacting Facebook.”
