Facebook finally releases message search tool

5 days ago, on June 19th, Facebook began to release the heavily requested inbox search tool.
This is one of the first steps that we see Facebook taking towards promoting private messaging to replace e-mails as younger generation begin to log onto Facebook. According to Facebook engineer Prashant Malik, Facebook delayed the release of this function for so long because they wanted to ensure that their system would be able to handle the millions of messages sent on their network daily.
