Following his killer campaign, our new President Elect has decided to continue his efforts at involving his followers and engaging them through the use of “new” media at Change.gov

Featured on the site is…

  • The complete agenda on everything from civil rights to rural policy
  • Infomation on the transition
  • Blog
  • Newsroom updates
  • “An American Moment: Share your story” which allows visitors to tell their “American Story” or “Vision” which may be featured on the site

In the blog section, a weekly video address is featured through YouTube in which the new President Elect speaks directly to the camera on a weekly topic. This week, he comments on the economic crisis that we are facing and brings himself down the the personal level of his citizens.  Obama Weekly Address

Advertising Age placed his lovely face on the cover of their October 20th issue and named his team “Marketer of the Year.” Beating out Apple and Zappos, he’s made an great impression on the nations marketers and population alike.  As Agnus Macaulay of, VP-Rodale Marketing solutions put it, “To see what he’s done, to be able to create a social network and do it in a way where it’s created the tools to let people get engaged very easily. It’s very easy for people to participate. Change.gov provides an easy portal for people to get involved in watching his presidency over the U.S.

While he doesn’t particularly need to “market” himself to the voting population anymore, his focus now will be on marketing a positive image to the nation and keeping his public approval rating high.
