Twitter: Perfect for your secrets

In case you’re unfamiliar with Twitter, it’s not “an online place that you keep your secrets.” In fact, due to election hype, it’s recently stormed onto the top-10 list of social networks, likely to surpass the classic blogging service LiveJournal soon in traffic. While Facebook and MySpace still see way more traffic than Twitter, the chart below shows that Twitter’s growth has the other two social networks beat. (The chart shows rate of growth, not traffic, at various points in time. MySpace is below zero because it’s slowly losing visitors.)
